Section E9 proudly announces that Paul W. Teasley has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Section E9 Legacy Fellowship. This prestigious recognition honors his exceptional service, commitment to youth leadership, and lasting impact on the Order of the Arrow. Paul will be formally recognized at the 2026 Section E9 Conclave, taking place April 24–26 at Camp T. Brady Saunders.
Paul’s involvement in Scouting and the Order of the Arrow spans decades, including his induction into the Order in 1996 and continued service ever since. A Vigil Honor member and Founders Award recipient, Paul has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the principles of the Order and the development of future leaders.
Paul was instrumental in the creation and evolution of what is now known as the Section E9 Inductions & Ceremonies Summit (ICS). What began as a focused effort to strengthen ceremonies and inductions has grown into a cornerstone program for the Section, directly improving lodge operations and elevating the quality of the Arrowman experience across Virginia. While his contributions have been concentrated in ceremonies and inductions, this is the one area of our organization that every Arrowman experiences, making his impact both far-reaching and deeply meaningful.
Although ICS has been on pause in recent years as the Order prepares for the rollout of the updated inductions experience, it previously attracted participants from well beyond our section and played a key role in building the strong reputation of both former SR-7A and today’s Section E9.
In addition to his work with ICS, Paul has been instrumental in ceremonies activities at Conclaves and has been a consistent and active contributor within Nawakwa Lodge and the Heart of Virginia Council, supporting inductions, ceremonies, service weekends, and section and national events, including staff service at the National Order of the Arrow Conference. Whether mentoring ceremonialists, supporting lodge operations, or contributing behind the scenes, Paul’s influence is both broad and deeply felt.
The Section E9 Legacy Fellowship recognizes individuals whose service and mentorship have left an indelible mark on the Order of the Arrow. Paul’s leadership, humility, and sustained commitment to developing young leaders make him a truly deserving recipient of this honor.
