MightyCause Terminology & Donation Procedure

• Event – This refers to the SR-7A Day Of Giving campaign in it’s entirety. Having an event allows us to build out teams and track progress through a leaderboard. When donating from the event page, donors have the option to pick their team (lodge) and fundraiser (chapter). Additionally donors have the option to donate to the Day of Giving general fund. Donations to the general fund will be split up evenly to each lodge/council.
• Team – These are the lodges that make up the Day of Giving. Each lodge (team) contributes to the total event. Just like events, donors can donate to a team’s general fund or pick a fundraiser (chapter) that it will be counted under. Donations made to a team through their general fund will go directly to that lodge/council.
• Fundraiser – These are the chapters that make up each lodge (team) and is the most granule level of the Day of Giving Event. Donations made though a chapter fundraiser will filter up to the lodge (team) and contribute to the total for that lodge (team). Donations made to a chapter (fundraiser) will go directly to their lodge/council.
• Donor – These are unique people identified by their payment information. A donor can make multiple donations
• Donation – This is the amount gifted from a donor to an event, team, or fundraiser.
